Accomplishments

Launched an online news website, part of AOL, and used social media, SEO and marketing skills to leverage an audience, grow page views, increase unique viewers, and attract hundreds of Facebook fans and Twitter followers. The sites I was specifically responsible for surpassed the company's aggressive UV goals in 10 of 12 months in 2012. Traffic on that site also grew by 50 percent from January 2012 to January 2013, the last month I oversaw it.

Successfully oversaw the company's social engagement effort in the 15 sites in Wisconsin. Recruited and retained more than 200 engaged bloggers in the first six months of 2013, including the United Way, County Executive Chris Abele, American Red Cross and many more. To foster interaction and engagement with an active audience, I also worked with community organizations, schools and businesses to encourage them to upload content to the site. In the first six months of 2013, contributions from users increased by 14 percent, total blog posts per site per day increased by 30 percent and original blog posts increase by 57 percent.
